Begun in the spring of 1982 by Gerre and Phil Moisson, Boston Tea Room has been providing psychic services combined with light refreshment in charming downtown Wyandotte, Michigan for 30 years. The current owner, Carole Navarre, is the cousin and life-long friend of co-founder Gerre Moisson. Her daughter Heatherleigh joined her as a partner in 2003, and added the retail gift shop, offering unique items for every taste. Carole's youngest daughter, Vanessa Navarre, re-joined the team in 2010 (she also worked there part time back in her college days), and now she manages the Wyandotte location, while Heatherleigh runs the Ferndale shop. All this change has allowed Carole to formally retire, though she can still usually be found chatting with customers in the store most days of the week.

In March of 2009, Boston Tea Room opened a second location in Downtown Ferndale, bringing their unique brand of psychic insight and intuitive counseling to a new neighborhood. The response from the community has been overwhelming and positive, with the result that there are now more Readers, more classes and workshops, and more special events available than ever before.
